The KC Yoga Kula 300 hour Advanced Training will build upon the foundation created in your 200 hour training. 

Gather in-depth knowledge to:

Lead Trainer, Nancy Kaul E-RYT 500, has been practicing yoga since 2003 and teaching since 2013. She is passionate about the benefits of a regular yoga practice and believes that everyone can practice if they can breathe and move with intention. Having studied with a wide variety of teachers encompassing many styles over the years, she is able to share her passion with depth and breadth, providing more than one perspective so you can tune in to your unique strengths to create your own path.

Requirements to Participate: Must have completed a 200 hour training and maintain a consistent yoga practice. At KC Yoga Kula, we understand that it's easy to feel lost in a large group setting, so enrollment is limited to ensure one-on-one mentoring, plenty of time to practice teaching and Q&A sessions. 

My philosophy around the 300 hour training has been and remains that consistent practice brings about deeper understanding. A 300 hour training is more about integrating concepts with a seasoned perspective than it is about learning brand new material. For that reason, I combine the 300 hour and 200 hour training times, and the 300 hour participants have additional weekends that they complete after the 200 hour candidates graduate. I expect both groups to have a consistent yoga practice, and 300 hour candidates are expected to teach classes – though they don’t have to be studio classes. The 200 hour class meets for 9 weekends, and the 300 hour class meets for 12 weekends.

The current standards set by Yoga Alliance for RYS300 school require 135 contact hours (of the 300 total) with the Lead Trainer. This equates to ~ 8 full weekends with me. I offer a couple of different options for the training depending on individual circumstances.

1)      Candidates who have completed a 200 hour training and want to pursue a full 300 hour training with KC Yoga Kula must complete 12 full weekends. The price for training is $3,150 (including $150 non-refundable application fee). Payments plans are available.

2)      Candidates who have completed additional trainings after graduation from their 200 coursework might be able to count those hours toward the 300 hour training. The hours must be documented and reviewed. The hours must include coursework targeted at yoga teachers or teachers in training rather than workshops for the general public. Approved hours will be counted as electives, and candidates may opt out of some weekends, but must participate in at least 8. There is a $150 application fee, and the price for each weekend module is $275.

3)      Candidates who want to complete the full 12 weekends plus practicum with KC Yoga Kula, but want to spread it out over a longer period of time may opt in module by module. The training much be complete by the end of 2020 (before the new standards go into effect in 2021). There is a $150 non-refundable application fee. Each module is priced at $275.


Our next 200  hour training begins on August 8th. I’ve listed the syllabus below plus the additional weekends to complete the 300 hour training.
